I would agree with that assessment. Although I would say the percentage

for second choice should have probably been higher (assuming the ACC had been smart about it). We all know that rivalries build passion in a sport and the ACC could definitely use a lot of help in that department for football. Plus, if every school got their top 2 choices, then it is less likely there would be any risk for discontent in the few schools that were lucky enough to get all 3 choices. Heck a good number of schools may not really have a true third choice unless you want to count the artificial rivalries (i.e. the "Godfather Rivalry"). Hopefully the ACC realizes that it needs to tinker with it for the next cycle and doesn't settle for the status quo because this potentially good idea could end up being horribly executed and make the ACC the laughing stock (if it isn't already there yet). What I mean by horrible execution is the various ESPN media personalities try to hype up these pairings as some sort of intense rivalry instead of acknowledging the fact majority of them were artificially assigned.
