I think they had agreed to play a neutral site basketball series in St. Louis at one time. However, I wasn't sure if that same rivalry carried over to football and even the non-revenue sports. If Illinois was apart of the proposed Big Ten division, then I would think fans in the northern part of the state would desire to be included in that division. Particularly, if their spot ended up going to Kansas State because they chose to remain on the SEC side of the league. Of course it will all depend on how big this super league wants to get and how many teams end up in each division. For scheduling purposes I would assume they would want the same number of teams in each division. Hence why I thought there could be some horse trading involved with schools located in border states of each conference's geographical footprint.
