WRT your statement that UConn is the only Big East school that sponsors

football, you are forgetting that Butler, Georgetown, and Villanova also sponsor football in the DI-FCS subdivision level. That may not change the P2's position on football with the Big East, but it could make things a little more tricky for the Big East to agree to any proposed agreement with the P2s. Especially if the rest of the NCAA (i.e. DI, DII, and DIII schools) decides to exclude all sports sponsored by the P2s. What will happen to the 4 football programs if the Big East is not allowed to participate in both groups? If those 4 schools are forced to leave the Big East because they are not willing to discontinue their football program, then would the P2s still be interested in doing an agreement with the Big East?
