The Texas & Oklahoma SEC intended move to the SEC had been a big secret for close to six months if I remember right. Many months is a sure fact. When the Aggies found out, they immediately contacted a media outlet to complain. I remember them saying Mike Slive had promised the Texas A&M president that the Longhorns would never enter the SEC. It was a nasty event that took a week or so to be transformed into the Aggies now favoring those new SEC additions. One could call it a family squabble but Texas A&M did go public to somewhat negate that label. Texas A&M may have already been punished in some unpublicized manner. Logic is the SEC would never go public with that punishment. However it will never result in the Aggies getting thrown on the curb by the SEC.
