The funny thing is, when they added UMCP and Rutgers...

they said that AAU membership was a major factor bringing them in. Even USC and UCLA are long time AAU members. AAU member schools Oregon, Washington, UVA, UNC and GA Tech have been mentioned as potential B1G members. I still think Notre Dame is the only non-AAU school that the B1G would take. There was some talk of then adding Syracuse before they brought in UMCP and Rutgers. Cuse lost their AAU status in 2011 along with Nebraska.
