Vanderbilt is a Founding SEC Member Going Back to 1936
Equal sharing of revenue has always been a cornerstone of the SEC. I think equal sharing keeps things harmonious in the SEC. You never hear public complaining by anyone. Frank Broyles use to publicly complain about SEC officiating noticeably at basketball games. That is the only peep I have seen about that terrible officiating from an Arkansas administrator in over 30 years. The SEC front office does administer heavy fines for coaches & administrators publicly criticizing game officials. That money or fines involving money just keeps everybody an apparent happy lot.
Could all that change in the present world? Yes! I don't think bad SEC officiating will ever be fixed but revenue sharing policies could. Especially with schools like Texas now entering the SEC. Texas made unequal revenue sharing a hallmark of the old Big-12 to the detriment of everyone else. That was a big part of everybody else leaving the Big-12.
Has Texas learned a lesson? Probably not. All Texas would need is for Alabama & Florida to agree they deserve more money the everybody else. Everyone known as the Big Six (the recent natty champs) would pile on and unequal sharing in the SEC would be born. So much for the harmony.
As far as kicking schools out of the SEC. It would at least take 3/4 members to vote somebody out. Outside of a Sandusky event. I just don't see that ever happening.

Would Duke be a target for SEC expansion? How about VT or NCST?
