NCAA was always set up as a non-profit to celebrate collegiate sports. IT was all for one and one for all. It was an organization, with the understanding if you are a member, you agree with the terms and rules and accept punishment if you broke the rules. (just like Rotary club, little league etc.) Also, the NCAA tourney was amazing event, and the revenue generated was able to fund and acknowledge champions at all divisions. Once the money came in and the :one upsmanshio and winning at all cost attitude expanded to many institutions, that was the beginning of the fall of the NCAA. NCAA was never set up to be a legal regulatory 'government' body We might just see the p2 separate entirely. With that , the NCAA tourney goes (with the funding stream to support the other divisions. Many schools will just say heck with it. Schools like Randolph Macon, the historic black schools and of course the other schools who just love collegiate sports, will retreat. All not good, also many Division 1 schools not included will hurt. The financial impact with unpaid debt by these institutions will be huge. That's why I just standing back, enjoying seeing Hokies play, dont get wrapped up in it and enjoy it while we still have it.
