I think the non P2 will most definitely compete. Not many out here

understand what VT is to their community, fans, conference and region. Just as you guys may not understand just how feverishly the K-Staters love their football team, and fill the stadium even in freezing rain. College football is a regional sport, and while we have the blue bloods, and the seemingly the same brands in the top 10, it's my contention that making these "national" conferences will only work for a while. people will watch, they will like the spectacle, then they will turn their attention to their local and regional teams. There are still the same amount of kids to recruit, and they want to play for a winner, and get into the playoffs. Do you think that Indiana and rutgers is going to be able to out recruit VT? I don't. The media money is not shared with the kids, so they will not go to a school because they make 20M or so more a year from ESPN. The auto's in the playoffs will be the equalizer, and as of right now there are 3 of the P4 that want to change that. Maybe the ACC needs to wake up, and realize that they are not in the same group as the PAC conference - and the PAC conference thought they were the B10.
