They had everything, the history, tradition,

the stadium, the location, and at one time, the fan base. it just goes to show that there is a separation of athletics, academics, and the political? will to be #1 in football. There is no such separation in Alabama, but if you put the educational institutions side by side, there isn't any comparison in all of the aforementioned areas - they are oil and water. It's too bad as a football fan, because that stadium is on my bucket list, but I'm not sure the pageantry, traditions, and fan experience will live up to my expectations.
