as you can see.....FIVE SEC teams, THREE B1G teams, Notre Dame, and 1 each from the ACC, Big 12, and G5. THAT's the "access" afforded by the expanded playoff. If you're not in the SEC or the B1G, you're an afterthought. ACC and Big 12 teams are now like MAAC and Big South teams in the basketball tournament - you either win your conference, or you're not going to the dance. Meanwhile, if you're in the SEC, you can lose 4 games, and it's all good...YOU'RE IN BABY! And, when an SEC program wins it every year, we will get to hear incessant praise from the ESPN talking heads about how great and deep the SEC is, and how down the ACC is yet again. What a great business partner for the ACC - their future is our future! Yet again, it's all just a bad joke if you're in the ACC.
