deal was, and they knew it a LONG time ago. That's what really angers me and makes me very sympathetic to FSU's stance. Also, to get an idea of how completely corrupted our financial system and our country are, it seems quite clear that ESPN (monopoly?) and Fox (duopoly) have extensive market power that they are using. Other businesses get regulated all the time, but somehow ESPN gets away with murder on these deal terms. I'm typically not for regulation, but if not in this case, then when? I really hope that someone finds a way to financially nuke Disney/ESPN. It looked really obvious to me back in 2011 that VT should have made a move to get the SEC companion spot to A&M over Missouri - which we easily could have done. We had the rare opportunity to jump ahead of FSU, UNC, Clemson and Miami in the pecking order. We didn't make that play and now we are behind them in the order. Even if you say that no one had a crystal ball, now that these facts are coming out about Raycom and ESPN, it looks really damning how this was handled.
