Football breakaway is next

I agree with your sentiments and think they are spot on. At some point over the next 8 years or so, the big football factories are going to break away and form their own league. When that happens, conferences will hopefully go back to a regional model. VT can either take these next 8 years and get back to becoming a solid football team and improve their chances of being in the football only league or just resign to the fact that they will be in the second tier, which honestly doesn't sound bad some days.
