Maybe this is just another example of the Florida schools wanting an easy schedule. All of that said, Whit should have shouted to the rooftops and Jim Phillips should have said, the Conference needs this game of 30 years with a 15-15 record to go on. Not playing it is not an option. That’s what real leaders do, they have to make unpopular decisions for the good of the entity they represent and not kowtow to the schools like Miami and the Carolina Club that are close enough to sit at his door until they get what they want. Oh boy, a bold move, moving the HQ to Charlotte or worse staying in Greensboro. No wonder they are worried about schools leaving with a 14 year GOR in place.
