Had the Big East formed with PSU, when the NCAA started allowing

championship games, or may be I should say, when conferences started to utilizing that provision, the Big East may have expanded too, for VT and others. Old eastern independents: PSU, Pitt, WVU, Temple, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College Add any combination of: Miami, VT, ECU, Louisville, UConn, and maybe even South Carolina and FSU if they could have beaten the SEC and/or the ACC to the punch.
