This chaos is the direct result of over expansion and conf champ games

AQ makes sense in other leagues of all sports at all levels because the teams are spread out. No single grouping of teams is too large and that allows the “best” teams to naturally bubble up to the top. Sometimes a sport does the AQ through a conference tournament. In the pros, the AQ is just determined by head to head records within a group. But it works because the grouping of teams is small. What the SEC and BIG have done is to concentrate too many top brands together. So the AQ model directly conflicts with their business model. If they want to go with top ranked teams and no AQ, then we should actually reduce the number of conference games to 7 and make more regular season OOC matchups between the P4 teams. Also maybe limit G5 games to two per year and no FCS games. If they do all that, then sure let’s just go top 16 ranked teams and try it out. ** Edited by HokieAl at 6/3/2025, 9:27:37 AM

It is the B10 that really wants the AQ model. As I said, DON'T TRUST B10.**

It’s the P2 that wants you to think they aren’t working together.
