Before The B1G will deal with FSU or others, they want to know the intentions of Notre Dame and UNC. It will just tell them how much they should acquire further south. If ND and UNC say "no" The B1G will spend their money in Florida and maybe SC. If ND and/or UNC go B1G, Clemson might be left behind. The reason Clemson is trying to go first is just to be available ahead of anyone else. That may not work-out for them. (Although it worked for Yormark and The B1G 12) Also of note: If FSU gets out soon, The B1G will approach them immediately and might invite them, depending on what they know about ND/UNC.
