Yes. Flugs often repeats the talking points of Big Ten Legal.
He LOVES to say that USC called the Big Ten first. And UCLA called the Big Ten first. Not the other way around. He says the Big Ten never call first.
This may or may not be true. But he repeats it so often and in a seemingly contrived way, that it makes me think it's not true. But Big Ten Legal doesn't want the conference to be viewed as tampering. So that's why it's often repeated, regardless if it's true or not.
He also says the UNC and UVa turned down the Big Ten in the past. And my question is, if the Big Ten always calls first, how did UNC and UVa turn them down? Did they just call the B10 and say "I know you didn't ask, but we are turning you down anyway." That's absurd. Neither can both be true.
He also says that USC and UCLA didn't talk to one another before each called the Big Ten. That's even less believable.
