Sure that is the play
the path of least resistance is for one (or both) of the P2 to offer all 4. the likely reality is they will be better off doing so then ceding the last important geography to their rival.
SEC will have an interesting decision if/when ACC implodes - take FSU and Clemson which although no new states are national brands and will keep the B1G out of their footprint or cede FSU/Clemson for new contiguous states, or try to do both. IF there were no political pressure SEC probably tries and adds FSU Clemson NCSU and VT, and B1G takes UNC and UVa. But the states of NC and VA wisely will try and tie their respective schools together which will hopefully benefit VT in making sure we move into a new conference with some logical partners.
