My dive bar site is coming along nicely
I have city pages now, and a google sitemap with over 4000 URLs in it, so I am getting search engine love when people search for dive bars in specific cities, so that is cool.
About 600 visitors a day now.
Marketing is handled by Claude. Claude and I created a bot named Sophie who runs the X account at https://x.com/divebar_info - she is snarky.
She has gotten almost 200 followers now. Claude has her tweet a few times a day and follow people of the dive bar variety and some of them follower her back.
This is quite an experiment. I have learned a lot. It's been great for work when engineers try to tell me they can't do things with AI and I call BS on them. I am completely changing how all our product managers and engineers work(at my job) from this experience. Some get it, some don't.

I type in Warrenton VA and Hopewell, VA the results are for Blacksburg, VA. I say use my current location and it comes back to Blacksburg, VA when I am sitting hours away.
Okay, now I see what is wrong. Those do not show up in the list.
I am not sure how you would hook it up to the Postal Service zip code database to get valid locations etc.

Not sure why the "my location" was weird, but it must be something weird with your isp??
Anyway, try now....with AI, adding a city takes 30 seconds LOL

I was expecting these to show:
O'Brien's Irish Pub and Restaurant
Molley's Irish Pub
This one too, but the other two first
RedZone Bar & Grill

Much better results, but let's face it, most of Manitowoc is a dive bar. One note: it lists the Sub Pub as a dive bar. It's actually a rooftop bar at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Love your site in general.

In the vicinity of Coco Walk.
That was my favorite "dive bar" in Miami.

i gotta ask my AI coding engine why it isnt included for Coconut Grove as we have that neighborhood in the system
adding a bar as a “dive bar” involves a few factors like google considers it a bar as their primary revenue, prices are cheap and then the real secret sauce is reading the reviews and deciding based onnthe reviews if it is a dive or not. it works pretty well but if the reviews dont truly represent reality, we end up not including…we are also limited to 30 bars as i dont want to overwhelm with too long a list…because of this i created a manual add feature…will investigate
