Post reiterating my objection to exclusive streaming of major sporting
events. I shouldn't have to subscribe to a streaming service to watch the Coca Cola 600. This is crap.

from 15 years ago. The idea of YTTV and Hulu were that they could beat cable TV prices. The problem is that cable had everything, while each streaming services has some deficiencies. I miss some channels but I'm not willing to pay an extra $17.99 a month for a platform that has 1 stinking channel that I like. I'm sure others feel differently and are willing to pay. But the question remains - are we paying more for TV now than we were 15 years ago for the same channels on cable?

And when I ditched cable, I basically just stopped watching TV. The only streaming service I pay for is Discovery+, but since they stopped producing their MotorTrend content, I've basically stopped watching anything on Discovery other than Josh Gates' various shows, so it's probably time to consider ditching Discovery+, too. Most of what I watch these days is regular old YouTube content, mostly from the guys who used to have shows on Motor Trend.

Apple TV. I don't even know when their races are anymore or follow anything about it.
Oh well. Just one less fan...more time for me on Sundays now.

Netflix got the F1 contract. I'm glad it went to Apple, since I really don't want to add another streaming service.

watching laziness. I even have Utube TV right now, and can't seem to cut the cable ...ONLY because it is simple and no effort. It is a pain in the ass for me to load, unload, open, close streaming services. I like to see a channel guide, and click on a channel. I surf a lot, so it is MUCH easier to change shows or games on cable...That is ALL cable has going for it. I know it's overpriced and I came CLOSE to cutting the cord here recently..I just haven't done it yet..Comcrap is a PAIN too!

Any of the ones that have live TV, have a guide exactly like cable. Hulu, Sling, YouTube...evej the free ones like Pluto. So it can't be that.
But that's not my question. I'm trying to wrap my mind around having BOTH YouTube TV and cable at the same time. What's that doing for you?

Comcast fought Scripts over CBS (no Masters or golf, or most of the shows we would want to watch). They got it back, and I'm just learning how to move around in Utube. It IS more clunky and I am a lazy TV watcher. I may keep Comcast another month, but I'll eventually give it up.

And I don't feel that a Prime offers many shopping advantages that I need. It seems like if you are willing to wait a few extra days, you can often get free shipping without a Prime membership.

I've been binging "World War II: The Pacific Theater" this weekend. On the downside, they seem to only be available for maybe a week before they're removed.
Most of their original programming is decent, but Jeff stuffs a bunch of crap from all over the planet...it's the home of the B and C movies...lol. Lots of Russian, Chinese, Indian, etc. series and movies.

I think the standard membership also gets you music, ebooks, and cloud storage. I just shop and watch TV.
