So today is the 13th anniversary of Sarah VTHokies passing...
A hard day for me, no doubt. But happy st. Patrick's day to all my fellow Hokies.

My niece was baby sis's first born out of 3 children.
I speak at all my family funerals. My niece died and 3 years later my brother died.
In my brothers speech, I brought my niece in.
In my Mom's speech, I brought my brother and niece in.
My speeches are always a celebration of life and end up having the whole church having an amazing happy cry and celebration of life.
I am no longer a church going Catholic, but still am very spiritual.
I am Irish and Saint Patrick's day was huge. It will help me remember from now on about you. Thanks for posting.
I do know that my Mom, Dad, Ray, Avery, and Aunt Viola had Sarah over for some corn beef, cabbage, and red potatoes. She told my family how much she missed you and you were her world, but knows she has to wait to see you again.
In the meantime, she has met some great new people until you join her. I asked my family to watch over her.
God bless, Saint Peter is going to one day let you into the gates.
You will see Sarah running towards you even before you get to the gate, much less in.
You will have plenty of time to catch up.

I hope that one day we meet. I,too am a also a no longer church going catholic. My kids were raised raised going to catholic school. After Sarah died, they stopped going to church. I think they still believe in God, but I don't press them on it.i questioned my faith for years after she passed away. However, I've slowly come to realize that wasn't the answer.
I now try to draw strength from it.

God does not punish you, things happen to bring you closer to him.
I hope I was able to give you a wonderful, wonderful happy cry. You deserve it.
