I don't think I agree with your premise. As presented, she's homeless and her life is shattered. Money would do more than justice, most especially considering she moved there for the prospect of money and allegedly got defrauded from earning any? Or most of it? I dunno, GIMME THE LOOT! Not to mention, we don't know that she never went to the police and that the public prosecutor hasn't reviewed information and charges are pending or not. In a civil case, she has the opportunity for a good attorney to optimize her situation with a lower burden of proof.

she's also released this to the media on purpose and seen too many of these initial lawsuits eventually go the other way. And, it's just a lawsuit, if there was substantial evidence of what she's accusing him of we should expect to see him formally charged by police which hasn't happened yet.
