Does Green Day's "American Idiot" deserve some consideration when talking
about "Best Rock Album"? In the conversation for Top 10? 25? etc.
I have a lot of their CDs, and while they started as punk revival that I grouped in with "The Offspring" (who I also still like), they've survived the test of time. They put out their best album, IMO, 12 to 15 years after making an initial name. It still sounds great today.
I thought about this question because of their performance pre game, but let's avoid getting too political in the replies please. Perhaps impossible to TOTALLY avoid since it was recorded as a W protest.

a kid by the time American Idiot came out so I really only know the singles because I was probably already listening to sports talk radio at that point like an old man!
