Traffic law scenario, what would you do?
Yesterday I was driving on a two lane road. On the opposite side of the road, there was a stopped school bus, with the doors open, and the bus driver was talking to a parent standing in the driveway, but the flashing red lights were not on. I couldn’t tell if a kid was actually going to get off the bus.
Are you allowed to continue driving in that scenario or not? I stopped anyway because I didn’t trust it and traffic violations involving school buses are a disaster.

By a PARK RANGER. After being pulled over I asked if it was illegal to pass a school bus. He said no it’s illegal to speed. 😕

3rd party provides the cameras and software, local police/sheriff dept does the clerical work. Everyone makes a crap ton of money.
And presumably, it makes it a little safer for the kiddos.

thousands of tickets per week at $100 a pop. Doesn't seem to affect traffic flow very much.

Surprised they hadn't started giving those tickets out earlier.
I guess the law is that if it isn't flashing, you can keep going. If a bus is on the other side of a divided highway (flashing or not), you can keep going. Any other time you stop.
Are there any other stopped school bus rules?
