Don't forget bacon. That's basically a Keto cookie.

Never! But consider turkey bacon forgotten.

I have 10 pounds to go. 205 trying to get down to 195! I haven't been 195
or even in that range since I retired from the Army in 2013! At my worst about 3 years ago about when my wife dropped the divorce bomb, I was 275. I was a mess. Finally woke the hell up. Still battling and grinding daily! Great job, EDGEMAN!!

Thanks! You can do it!
I think my highest weight was close to your high when I was working long hours in a cubicle after I retired from the Navy. I yo-yo dieting/exercised that down to ~235 where I've been the last several years. I hit 194.2 this morning, and I'm still dropping weight at a fairly constant rate. I'll continue riding the Keto train until I start hitting plateaus again, then relax for a couple weeks before starting back. I'm looking at ~175 as my current target. I don't think I've been close to that since I left VT.

Not now.
I'll start back when I've hit my ultimate goal.

Nice
I cut 10# since May, would like to go down another 8 or so but not sure the level of pain required is worth it.

I'm doing Keto now, but I'll eventually switch to a "lower carb" diet.
Talking about <100g of carbs a day instead of <20g of carbs a day. I'll probably stay on that as my base diet the rest of my life. I also intend to increase my physical activity as I increase my carb intake with more A2 milk & protein shakes! :) Once I'm down, I'll occasionally have ice cream or cake without too much guilt.

My limitation is physical activity
If my right hip and back were not an issue, I'd be a national class triathlete. Can't run, biking can be managed but is not great. I swim three days a week and lift two. I usually walk 5-6 miles a day weekdays and 8 on the weekends. I have to limit intensity. I eat pretty clean. I'm 6-0 195#. Not too far off from my HS weight. When I was fighting, I was a much leaner 188#.

If you want to drop a few pounds, start easing up on your carbs...
...and increasing your meat, fish, & eggs intake.
