the season is getting ready to start, and the window has just a few weeks left. Levy going to have to crack open the Club wallet and spend - and he hates that. FYI: Spurs finally landed a quality gaffer - Frank is really, really good.

As of today, one of the BBC's top reporters says Arsenal is unlikely to make a move for him at this time, FWIW. Sounds like Spurs are sniffing around Paz at Como.

With both of those guys out. And Frank needs a No. 10 for his 4-2-3-1. Right now it would be Sarr most likely, who isn't really a No. 10.

Even if the move isn't permanent, Spurs should be able to find a team willing to loan a player for the entire season or at least until the Winter transfer window.

They were going to spend 60 million on Morgan Gibbs-White but the front office managed to botch it. So that's 60 million, plus the 20+ they got from the Son sale. So they've got at least 80 million to spend, and probably a bit more.

If the Spurs think both players will be back to form once they have healed and they are in the Spurs' future, then the Spurs may not want 3 No. 10s on their 23-man roster (assuming they can't play another position). Hence why I thought they may be open to going the loan route (full season or short season).

Got tickets right by first base to watch him. He was a massive man out there, easily the biggest major leaguer I've seen. Was very amiable with the fans, but the man who stole the show was none other than Dick Vitale, who for some reason was out on the field. Came over and talked to the fans forever.
A little off subject, but believe it or not, one of the best fan interactions I've seen was none other than Ricky Henderson. I was in San Diego for work and went to see the Padres and Giants play. Bonds hit two of his historic HRs that game. Before the game, Rickey came over to the third base side and just chatted up all the fans close to the field. He also added to his SB record that day.

I got to talk to Coach Cav for about 15 minutes at one of the VT Football Recruiting Round-Ups, and that made him my favorite coach on Frank's staff. His candid assessments of the players also helped. I think we all miss those days...
