Belle Fource, SD (almost in Wyoming) is the geographic center and Hartville, MO (southern MO) is the population center. The population center was Chestertown, MD in the 1790 census. The geographical center was near Lebanon, KS (without AK). Lebanon is in northern KS.

Visited Belle Fourche (apparently pronounced "bell foosh" by the locals)
last spring - there's a marker for the geo center in town (which is not far from one of my favorite places, the Black Hills), even though the actual spot is about 8 miles NW.
