great evening
scorcher for us, mid 80s today…didn’t leave for a bike ride until 7pm due to heat…get home at the power goes off in our neighborhood …must be an overload due to everyone running their AC gonna sit on the deck all evening and enjoy the lounge until my phone goes dead

Just think how well the electrical grid will work when more EVs are...
...sucking up all of that excess electricity.

so instead of upgrading a decades old electrical grid that needs it even
before EVs are considered we should just stop making EVs? Electrical usage goes up every day, I think we should adapt and build in some margin

With all electric in Cali, the climate will quickly cool down for the grid

Yep, all will be well.

Especially when EV owners will be told to NOT charge their cars during...
...brownouts. No AC and no transportation...that will go well...lol

Is it normal for CA power companies to resort to rolling brownouts when
their power grid is maxed out, to avoid a total failure. If so, how often does it happen?

Maybe 10 or 15 years ago it happened a lot
Rare now, but we will see how this summer goes Not sure what happened last night, affected 1200 homes
