O's fans...what's the deal with Jackson Holiday?
34 at bats in 10 games. 2 singles and 18 Ks. Went 1-4 yesterday to RAISE his batting average to 0.059. That's a pretty big sample size......

That's a MINISCULE sample size
He's a kid, in the bigs......allow him some time for adjustment. Spoke with a guy that was alongside him in his brief minor league stent - said he's the best hitter he's ever seen.... He will be ok. The pressure is immense. He has probably NEVER had to deal with failure at the plate and at his age, letting this get in your head is difficult not to do.

Henderson started really slow last year and ended up ROY. He will be
OK.

Sounds like they found someone to fill Chris Davis' shoes. TIC

Very young. He will catch fire here in a bit, once he settles in.

He's 20, and he's probably pressing a little bit. Maybe he could use a bit more time in the minors, but 34 ABs is nothing. Francisco Lindor started this year 1/31 for the Mets.

I don't think ANY stats start to stabilize before 50
...and that's just swing decisions. Batted ball results become meaningful much later. And, of course, hype doesn't hit. Dude's just a rookie getting his first taste. That's the deal.

so just keep throwing him out there?

Give it time. Cowser was not hitting last year and he is a different guy
Maybe Jackson H is just pressing too much. He will figure it out eventually.
