Visitation attire
In this emerging & modern world is business casual attire (blue blazer, dress shirt with dress khaki's) acceptable attire for Visitation / Receiving if one isn't staying for further services? Not immediate family but close enough that proper respect and deferences are due. Thoughts?

Wear gear for the deceased's favorite sports team.

At my funeral, wear whatever you want. There will be bourbon/ham biscuits

Can we just have bourbon and ham biscuits and skip the other part?

As long as I don't have to wear a suit. Just say when.

I consider that OK for a visitation the night before the funeral, and...
...a suit for the funeral. If it's a combined visitation/funeral, you can't go wrong with a suit.

I agree. I wouldn't consider NOT wearing a suit. This is not for your->
comfort...it is SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable. I would do it out of respect for the family.....JMO

Was this for a funeral, a parole hearing, a birth, or a gender reveal?
