I mean this past year has been freakish for the Skins, but somewhere The Danny could have had a few wins along the way. That is 100% on him. What kills me is he was the kid the idolized the team, you'd think he'd have that understanding and compassion for the fanbase - even now that they're winning - just in his case I guess it was a kind of power-tripping fandom.
I've ridden my bike up the Potomac River C&O canal bike trail and mostly trees and nature and stuff except for one house that was facing the river and the entire swatch was cleared out from the house, down the hill to the river. I'm believing that is/was the river house and read an article about how he cut down trees on the C&O canal - a national park - to get his view. I'm still po'd about that. (The story kind of disappeared,, paid people off? paid a fine? I think he should have been put in jail for that)
Anyway, good article, you do kind of wonder what someone like that does after being such a large presence in the area and there's your answer, he's done DC a favor by leaving town, he obviously sensed that he was persona non grata. Actually is looking pretty good in that picture, instead of the little fat-faced smuck .
PS Funny that the NFL considered him the worst owner in the league, One of my quips was that I was living between the two worst owners in all of sports - other other being Angelos - here in MD.

He wanted view of the river and the forest was in the way. The top part of the NPS saw to it that the trees were classified as invasive species and the entire section of forest was mowed down. Whistleblowers within NPS called BS and lost their jobs.

So he would not have to pay the contractual amount to the other owners. You can be most anything as an NFL owner and they will stick with you..... as long as you are not messing with their money

there's a whole list of things, Suing ticket holders who couldn't afford to pay for their tickets type stuff. He got started before the Redskins by "slamming" long distance telephone service back when that was separate, that is changing your provider without you asking. How he's not in jail for that I dunno, but that was common, the feds allowed it.
He's just a complete cheat, that's how he thinks.

Little ego maniac who always got what he wanted and took advantage of every angle, legal and otherwise. That pretty much describes almost every person of power in business and politics, everywhere in the world.
Some are better able to control the narrative and treat people well so they will be more likely to focus on the positive things the person did, rather than the negatives. Reality is, as terrible a person as Danny is, the vast majority of people in his circle are pretty much the same, but have better people skills. Plus, had he been able to put the right people in place and let them do their job with the Redskins, he would have been a hero, not a villain (history is written by the winners).
