It looks a little bit too much like a Camaro for me, but I'll get over it. I watched a 20-minute video on YouTube this morning (you can tell that Ford gave pre-launch access to the biggest YouTube channels, and these guys had their videos ready to go), and while I'm still not sold on the front/side design, I do like the back-end design. I think Ford did the car a disservice by launching in that trendy, blah, gray color, but I digress. The interior: hmmm. I think I like it, but my one big gripe is no dedicated knobs for the HVAC. The HVAC controls reside perpetually at the bottom of the touchscreen, and as long as the "Auto" setting is a good one (it's great in my 2019 GMC Sierra), I guess that'll do. But the dedicated volume knob being on the far side of the control stack? Interesting choice. I'd probably never use it, anyway, and just use the steering wheel controls. The BIG draw is that the engines are pure ICE -- not even a hybrid, much less electric. Gas-powered cars are going the way of the Dodo, and the chance to get the final gas-powered Mustang is a huge lure for me. For those that don't know (which is most of you), my first car was a 1965 Mustang, and my second car was a 1988 Mustang GT. So I pay attention to Mustangs, even though I sold my 88 in 1993 (and bought a Probe GT -- go ahead and make your jokes, that was a GREAT car). I'm going to think long and hard about getting one of these. I won't wait for a Cobra or Shelby or whatever. I'd probably get a dressed-up GT, which is estimated to be about $55k-$60k. So I gotta save up for a while first. (Kids'll all be out of college by then, haha.)

I sold the Mustang in 1993 for $6k and financed the Probe. Lost my job in May 1994 ... that $6k came in handy. It got me through until I could find another job. Things happen the way they're supposed to.

I'm really tempted to buy the GT with the Coyote 5.0L since it's the last one. Remember what they said in Mad Max..."it's the last of the V8 Interceptors." Don't want to be on my deathbed thinking, "I could have had a V8."

I got a 2006 CVPI for $3,500 ... cars with that same amount of mileage (and idle hours and such) are now going for $5k-$6k. It's another "keeper" ... has 150k miles on it and should be good for 100k-150k more. Good ole fashioned gas-powered V8 with a 4-speed tranny. Really fun car to drive.

Cab companies bought them from police agencies after a couple hundred miles, then drove them for many hundreds of thousands of miles more. Those are very solid automobiles.
