Not if you define IU's sudden success as great new coach who believes in team + brings a bunch of his team-oriented players from D2 + all of them have something to prove + play in an overrated conference and play no one the first 2 years (promptly lose in first playoff) + influx of NIL money for last year.
That is a unique combination that is unlikely to be repeated. Going forward, the NC candidates will come from the 25 richest programs, almost without exception. The team thing will eventually have no chance.

ON PAPER, James Franklin has restored VT's talent level to where it was in the days when we were competing for ACC titles. We're not close to national championship caliber talent yet, and the jury is way out on if that's even possible.
Indiana's formula is NOT James Franklin's formula. Indiana is all in on spending their money on proven, mature, talent, and winning THROUGH the portal. Their high school recruiting is improved, but fairly pedestrian. They have cracked the code.
Franklin's approach, as he stated, looks to be more orthodox; focusing on high school recruiting, and adding "pieces" from the portal to supplement holes in the roster. I believe, that Franklin believes, he can start bringing in top 15 high school classes to Blacksburg. I'm skeptical of that. I'm also skeptical that the kind of financial outlay that would require is the best way to spend NIL for a program like VT. I don't know, I just have my doubts that this approach...the one most everyone else is taking, can turn us into another Indiana story.

I feel like something is coming where we just know that VT is about to do something big or turn the corner. You could feel it after the Texas win years ago. Do we win a NATI? I don't know about that, but I get the feeling we are about to be a whole, whole lot better.

Championship (aka DI-FCS Playoffs), your prediction could come true. Assuming the Ivy League goes on a run of NCAA DI National Championships in football. Watch out North Dakota State when Big Red or Big Green invade the Fargo Dome.

Watching any Ivy whip up on SEC bluebloods. I half joked about Elon(Penn) a couple years ago. But with no guardrails those billionaires could hake it happen. I just don't see them wanting to. They're not cut out ofvthe same cloth as Phil Knight or Mark Cuban for example.

DI-FBS in football. Primarily because the FCS allows DI schools to participate in non-scholarship football (i.e. Ivy League and Pioneer Football League). While the FBS currently does not allow it for various reasons. So the best anyone can probably hope for is for the Ivy League to dominant the DI-FCS part of DI football. Now that isn't to say an Ivy League team could end agreeing to play a SEC team during the regular season. However, I don't see that happening any time soon for a number of reasons.
