I get that ND thinks they should be in over Tulane and JMU and maybe even Bama (who played a much, much tougher schedule). But being a petulant child is not the approach. At some point they are going to have to join this new super conference and no longer be independent. Then they have to play by everyone else's rules. I have no problem with teams skipping a bowl that don't act like angry toddlers. I get it. it's added exposure to injury (see Jeff Overton). When you are making $300k in NIL money, that $200 shopping spree at Dicks and Beats headphones don't seem like such a luxury. After a long season that ended in somewhat disappointment, I can see just finishing up finals, going home for the holidays, and coming back in January ready for Winter training.
