OT - Mansoor Delane is the highest-graded CB in the country this season
"Mansoor Delane is the highest-graded CB in the country this season, with a 99.9 PFSN College CBi grade. The @LSUfootball star is currently a top-25 prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, according to PFSN's NFL Mock Draft Simulator. " Remember when fans blamed him for the defense last year??

What's changed if anything? He looked lazy last year and got burned at VT
Was it a coaching problem? Disinterested? Playing on a bad team or bad D and not meshing with Cheetah his position coach impacted on field performance? I know this, it sure does SUCK seeing previous VT players EXCELLING in the SEC, winning SEC Player of Week (Delane and Moore (week 1 OL Player of Week) while VT football sucks donkey balls.

He's got serious talent pushing him every day. At LSU, you practice bad...
...or play bad, you're piney hiney! At VT, he could mostly coast knowing he wasn't getting benched by a coach that had no options and no hope.

Honestly, some of it is definitely culture. Winning culture, something to
play for, goals, buying in that your play is going to make a difference, accountability to the other 10 players on the field with you and to your other teammates and coaches... And then there's a losing culture, which doesn't embody those things. We have a losing culture. It's clear we've had some highly talented players here of late. It's also clear that our players are not "All In". It's a losing culture. I as a fan am no longer all in. I might watch parts of a game if convenient but I'm not arranging my weekend around VT football, and I'm certainly not spending $1000 to travel up to Blacksburg for the weekend to watch this product.

also dont have upper classmen who know how to win and push younger guys
and have the players only meetings to basically whip guys into shape. that ship has long sailed.

Good post. True. True. Sigh. I feel ya on the fan portion too.
Season tix holder since 1995. I went to Vandy, left early. No way in hell I was driving back down on I-81 for 2-2.5 hours to see that hot mess. Watched it on tv and was so thankful my brother and I didn't go. I'm going this weekend for Wofford, but only because I'm going to the VTCC reunion and all us alumni will probably be marching on the field pre-game. Wofford MIGHT be our only chance at winning this year. wow.

Scheme can make all the difference in a player
And the play of the team (if they are performing) can also make a player look good.
