Duke obviously is more of a basketball school but recently they have had a much better football team that has been more competitive and wins more games than Virginia Tech. you cant find 200 milllion with a light switch. BOV just heard the report in august. They have a member of the BOV and 1 other long term VT contributor. tasked to present way ahead. They are due report back to the BOV, in 6 weeks. This will NOT be the public report, but the internals needed to get the money and way ahead. Once BOV internally deliberate between themselves, they will be ready to discuss publiclly. I suspect the Next BOV meeting scheduled in November. VT right now budget of 144 million is middle of the pack THIS YEAR, for the ACC.

BOV needs to find the $$ and invest. Thinks this is one of the most important FB seasons in VT history. VT needs to win more. Does not think Pry will or should be fired unless it is really bad 3-9 land. Doesn't think that will happen. Doesn't think Fu ever had his heart in it. Really lost him when he interviewed with Baylor. Did not get swva culture or ever really try to build relationships with donors fans letterman, etc. Thinks Pry gets it thinks Pry's heart is in it. Thinks he needed these coordinators and they will make a difference. Believes in Drones thinks he has the it factor is a gamer. Cited Pitt game in '23, Miami game last season, and playing injuries.
