The Problem with PRY and losing close score games is a simple fix.....
PRY needs a Mini Me mini Hokie Bird beside him that takes dictation.
There is no way PRY can manage a game in real time, and take notes in his notebook at the same time.
Every time we are close, he looks down at his notebook, scribbles some notes, and by the time he looks up, the game is over.
Perhaps he could have a special word like "Boondoggle!!" or "Pepperidge Farms!!!", and the Mini Me Hokie Bird could race over from a small bamboo cage and dictate while PRY shouts out his notations, but can still pay attention to the game at hand.
PRY gets his notes taken, manages the win, and we have a new Mini Mascot Hokie Bird.
We all win.

Stay focused on what is happening on the field. Things like clock, personnel on the field, down and distance, communicate with the coordinators ...so on and so forth.

Surely the three minutes he talks at half time and after the game can be gleaned from just being involved IN THE GAME! Most of the communication with players involves position coaches anyway. Head coaches just hit the highlights. As you say, game details can easily be noted with video replay the next day long before the first post game practice/meetings. Just one of many head scratching aspects of this program.
