How about those VCU Rams! Carolina goes down!
Y'all know I'm NOT a UNCheat fan, and that makes it even sweeter.

I guess VCU, unlike VT, has more money than Carolina
that must be why they won.

Yes, if theres anything we know...
Its that a singular outcome is indicative of both how much a team spends on their program and that it definitely means money guarantees wins That's why the Appy State team that beat Michigan in football over a decade ago would for sure have won the Big Ten. Its why UMBC would definitely have done well in the ACC because they upset UVA as a 16 seed

The better team doesn't always win...
1985. 8 Seed Villanova, beats 1 Seed Georgetown. Their third meeting of the year. The Hoyas swept the season series 2-0. If it had been a 10 game format, I'd say Georgetown wins 8 or 9. That night, Villanova played basically a perfect game, shooting 79% overall, and *90%* in the Second Half, to win by *two* points. Villanova won the Tournament, and the Wildcats were crowned National Champions. Did the odds all of a sudden change, after one game? It is like rolling a die, and you have to get a 6, otherwise you lose. You get that six on the first roll. You're still going to be a 5-1 underdog, if you roll again. ** Edited by HokieNL at 3/20/2026, 1:50:21 PM

Well VCU doesn’t spend much on football, as a matter of fact.
