The better team doesn't always win...
1985. 8 Seed Villanova, beats 1 Seed Georgetown.
Their third meeting of the year. The Hoyas swept the season series 2-0.
If it had been a 10 game format, I'd say Georgetown wins 8 or 9.
That night, Villanova played basically a perfect game, shooting 79% overall, and *90%* in the Second Half, to win by *two* points.
Villanova won the Tournament, and the Wildcats were crowned National Champions.
Did the odds all of a sudden change, after one game?
It is like rolling a die, and you have to get a 6, otherwise you lose. You get that six on the first roll.
You're still going to be a 5-1 underdog, if you roll again.
