Nobody considers WBB to be underfunded. It's well-funded, actually.
It's quite the opposite in fact. VT pours a ton of money into women's basketball. Duffy is operating with a huge advantage in terms of funding, relative to the competition. No. 1 in the ACC, per the numbers VT released last summer.
Correct on the men's team, though. It's not well-funded relative to the competition. Dead last among public schools in the ACC. We generally get more than what we pay for from MBB. If we're basically at the bottom in funding, and we always finish mid-pack, then we are playing some pretty good moneyball.
