UNC though isn’t particularly relevant, the only loss they had of significance was Caleb Love and that was universally viewed as beneficial. They returned Bacot and Davis, their 2 best players. I would’ve been fine with the NIT if we had used it to develop players, but something like 7 of the 8 top minute-getters against Richmond and OSU won’t be playing for VT next year. It’s Poteat and maybe Young at the end of the list. I’ll take the earlier press hit as a trade for us not playing those games. I know we’re not important in the grand scheme, but people do notice even if we think we’re under the radar. MY is a good enough coach that people pay attention
