Ouch ! & i easily recall playin baseball ...
High school & metal bats were just comin on the mkt (mid 70s) ; Obviously were NOT well made & particularly when weather was cold & you didnt quite hit the ball sweet, bat would "micro" vibrate , numb your hands & hurt like hell ** Edited by astrohokie at 3/24/2024, 4:33:59 PM

I remember beaning a guy in early March in Virginia accidentally
I truly thought he was going to die the pain was so great… thankfully he was ok shortly

Broke one during a very cold game my freshman year. Broke right above the
rubber on the handle. Game was played with snow on the ground....circa 1980.

I’ve seen a few broken in some VT games the last couple of years.
They always seem to break on the handle just above the grip. Some of them were in warm weather (for Bburg) games.
