Nice win….Rotation was a big plus

Once coach goes into “don’t foul” mode we quit playing D
And it pressures our O into no shooting until the end of the clock….need to be up 20 with 1 minute to go to feel comfortable….but….glad we won, and think our team is going to get things going in this run of Quad 1 match-ups.

I’m pretty sure they covered Dell starting at half court….
Every game I remember, he had to work his magic to even get open…..then quick release……Dell would have ate, and asked for desert.

North Carolina (and Virginia) teams in the top 25
There is some really good baseball in North Carolina right now with Duke, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Campbell all in the top 25. Virginia and Virginia Tech are also….that’s some serious competition within a five hour radius.
NCState just dropped out too.

ESPN stats rate Drones as the 54th most “efficient” qb rushing
While he finished 5th in the nation in rushing for a QB….the efficiency stat for rushing is flawed…..Drones rushing is a difference maker….

Closest comparison to a duo I can remember….dominate using pick and roll…or just figure out a way to score.
Todays game wasn’t the best refereeing for this team, but still found the way to a win.

Maddox and Rice is the difference
Young’s system demands three shooters that can defend….2 shooters are not effective against ACC defenses….too easy to get spacing that can cover everyone on the floor

But the base is….a few added to the base and you have a team that competes
We have proven it once….that defense with Sweat, Nnadi, Edmunds x2, Ferrell, Burkes, Stewart, Holmes, Stroman…..not sure anyone would have been better in those years….

One game at a time.....
We haven't been good enough to overlook the next opponent. Playing better, but one night of fouls or poor shooting could be a loss to anyone in the league. Keep improving...hopefully Maddox returns and can contribute again and we take care of business this Wednesday.

3-3-5 Pry's wish list...
Pry would want UVA, Miami and Clemson.....2 that most years would give us the best shot at the 12-team playoff (which is coming with the change to 3-3-5) and UVA.

ACC seeding 1 vs. 3 (big game today!)
For us to host more than one round in the NCAA we need to get through our pool play. While I love our team’s chances this year there is a significant difference in the 1 seed vs the 3 seed.
In pool play the 1 seed has the 8&12 seeds in their pool
The 3 seed has the 6&10 seeds
Also if we win the pool and happen to lose in the semifinals the 1 seed in regular season should weigh nicely in the eyes of the NCAA committee
