Q about Hoos pitchers
Does anyone know what the UVA pitchers were looking at when they constantly looked at a wristband between pitches? It almost looked like some kind of electronic display.

for plays or pitches. I even see players pull a card out of their pocket and look at it.

I was ruthlessly effing with them....
Either that or it's a crap way to send in pitch info......HATE it, but I'm a total baseball traditionalist

A cryptic signal is flashed from the dugout from one of the coaches that is deciphered using the wristband. The coach is calling the pitch. The catcher has the same and field players may have the same equipment so they know what’s coming too.
