Even if some players could not play because of injuries, the others could have gotten the tournament experience. Some guys practiced all year with little playing time so they deserved the chance to play. that it looked like Ben Hammond was fouled on driving to the basket with the score tied in regulation with less than 5 seconds. Ben is money and would have made at least one if not both. Woulda, coulda, shoulda... I know, but that is a fact. Then of course we missed the follow up at the buzzer. If the foul had been called or the follow had been made, we would be playing Clemson tomorrow. We played poorly and lost but I honestly think there were some terrible calls against us. This is what I hate about BB. Overall, we let them drive to the basket for easy baskets and we didn't defend the arc well enough. Had we done this things we would have won easily. Just my opinion... What has happened to him? I know he is 19 and a freshman but has played a lot of basketball. Seems to have zero confidence and no passion! What a disappointment.

In my opinion, Neo should be a forward. He doesn't handle the ball well enough to be a guard. Maybe it will help him get out of his shooting slump. Make Hammond and Bedford the guards.

The refs give them all the calls. This is ridiculous! We would be up 25 with fair refs!

When a smaller player tries to guard a taller player from making a jump shot, would it make sense for him to focus not on blocking the ball, but instead, focus on putting his hands to cover the players line of sight so he can't see the basket?

.. We are missing wide open 3s. If we had made our normal percentage of open 3s, we would be within a few points of them. Maybe 2nd half will be different. I thought our defense got better toward end of half.

Play Pop Watson at QB and Kyron Drones as Wide Receiver or at times RB. This way you have your two best athletes on the field. I think this would give the Wahoos fits.

Great runner, poor passer. Should have been a TE and Pop Watson would have been a better QB. Sadly, Pop will likely transfer and I wouldn't blame him.

It seemed obvious to me that the ACC refs were doing all they could to help Cal win. The personal foul on the block on our 67 yd return was questionable. Uncalled holding calls by Cal....The roughing the passing call on the clean sack was the worst call I have seen in over 50 years. The call in last year's Miami game is another example. Will he play tonight? We really need him! What is the deal? How long does it take for a sprained ankle to heal?

If I didn't know better, I would have thought Childress was a former Carolina player.

They had the ball with 25 sec and the score tied. We let Robinson kill all but 3 sec as he drove the basket and score. I wonder if it would have made sense to immediately and aggressively go for a steal or, foul and put him on the line with appx 20 sec left. No matter if he makes both, we still have 20 sec to go down and score to win or tie. To let him run down the clock and leave only 3 sec limited our chances to win IMO. What do you think?

I am afraid we have hired a man with no experience as a Head Coach and he has brought in an inexperienced OC, a DC with little experience ( Vanderbilt! ) and Pry still wants to control the defense and should be trying to be a Head Coach. And what kind of Special Teams Coach do we have? Surely he can find someone who can catch a kickoff! I don't see us winning any more games this year. I feel for the players who are giving the effort. I do not blame them.

I watched Pry taking notes all game long with his red pen. It seems to me that he was taking down "history" when he should have been focused on strategy, down and distance, etc. He has game film to study AFTER the game. He should be watching, planning, communicating, motivating, not taking.notes about what just happened.

Who else thinks Pry should have put in the backup QB in the 4th qtr? It seemed obvious that Wells was off with his accuracy tonight. The O line was giving him good protection yet he was missing open receivers. I don't understand why he didn't give Brown a shot.

Why not play him? Isn't he the fastest player on the team? I was hoping to see #14 in ODU game. I had visions of a long bomb to win it for us. Let's hope we see him soon!

I have read all the criticism about our loss to ODU and much of it is deserved. Let's put it in perspective by comparing our performance to UNC's. They won big vs a FL A&M team, with a depleated roster, after struggling until the3rd qtr. Then they LUCKED OUT and won 63-61 vs App State. That game was over if their QB had just lobbed the first 2 pt attempt to the receiver, and it could have easily gone to OT if the defender had not grabbed the QB's jersey at the end. Heels are 2-0 and Fat Mac is all smiles at the end. They just gave up 61 pts and were lucky to win. (They will be lobbying for top 25 votes.) The point is that winning in FB is often about luck or lack thereof. Had we not made that bad snap and then not recovered the ball, it would have been a 10 pt difference. We only lost by 3. Let's not be too harsh in our criticism after one game. I know, woulda, coulda, shoulda, but that's the way it is. We got several questionable PI calls which hurt us and this could have also changed the L to a W. Look at the positives. Our defense played well enough to win. ( I will take our D over one that just gave up 61 pts and luckily won ) I am not going to give up on this team after this one game.
