scholarships from the school whether they are athletic or academic scholarships? Some scholarships are from the state and some are from the school. Are not those from the school being paid by everyone attending the school?

I would think if the contract states that in order to receive the revenue sharing they have to be on the football team, and they are no longer on the football team, then they are not entitled to receive any money. Not sure what the parameters are for a coach to remove someone from the football team. Are there specific guidelines/reason as to when a coach can remove a player? Is the fact that the player expressed an interest that he wanted to redshirt and would be entering the portal in January enough for a coach to remove them from the roster? No idea how the conversation went since none of us were there during the discussions, but seems like if a player told his coach he wasn’t going to play anymore, that the coach should be able to remove him from the team for refusing to honor his part of being on the team. But, as I said, contracts will dictate results - or at least they should. If a player doesn’t want to stay, that’s fine. But they shouldn’t expect to be part of practice and coached until they leave.

hand man or confidant, or however you want to state it, I’ve always wondered if JB purposely undermined others so that, in his mind, he was doing what he thought would keep Frank’s legacy intact. Seemed like some of JB’s decisions were made to make sure that no one else did as well as Frank, thus keeping another coach from surpassing FB’s accomplishments. It is going to be very hard, if even possible, to surpass FB’s legacy. I do agree and wonder also why JB is still employed because a lot of his decisions don’t seem to be made in VT’s best interest

former coach, I used to tell my husband that they should just provide a bucket and have people write down plays they want to see and then have the staff just pull one out and run whatever was written on the paper. Didn’t think the fans could do worse than the coaching staff in that first year. Was hoping that things improved drastically, but here we are.

practices were handled unless a present or former player speaks up which I presume will not happen with current players and not how much you can believe a former player, especially if they have a bone to pick. I thought that I heard on one of the Tech Sideline shows that practices were not starting on time. Not sure if this was happening regularly or occasionally. They also commented on how practices started late on media days. So, if true, that is one thing the coach can change immediately. Monty definitely has an uphill battle so interested in how well he gets the troops to climb

at Tech as I am not sure he was a good fit for us. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t a decent head coach, just not for us. You see it with players also. Hooker did not excel here, but did at Tennessee. That program was a better fit for him and I don’t hold anything against him for going elsewhere.

I thought we are still paying the last bad coaching hire, so unless people can come up with the $4million difference, does it really make sense to do it. Understand that Montgomery has head coach experience so would he be the one you would want as interim, if they do, in fact, get rid of Pry before the end of the season?

receive $10 million and after that date it is $6 million and his contract runs through 2027 season. Article did not mention buy out after 2026 season but perhaps it didn’t go into those details since it was just focusing on Pry being on Hot Seat now and cost to replace him sooner than later.
