Today's practice schedule...

Times are CT. Open to the public... ** Edited by schubee at 5/14/2026, 12:07:51 PM

Yeah, it would be nice if there was a column w/ the date. Maybe I

assumed they were from practice because they were usually tweeted out late in the week, just prior to the next series.

Here’s the link to the official bracket.

If you click on any of the regionals, you’ll get the mini-bracket with ET game times & broadcast info.

Most of them are the same from the last list, so I’ve concluded that this

is a season-long leaderboard. But Nos. 3, 4 & 7 are all new. So not bad that 3 of the top 10 came this week.

Hate to break it to you, but posting on a message board has zero effect on

what happens in the field. I just don’t understand the overwhelming negative, doom-and-gloom, β€œwoe is us” sentiment that’s predominant in this fanbase, & that you are a caricature of. Like, how do you post 90% negative when this is team is as good as it is? And why do so many people here feel the need to point out every perceived slight by the TV announcers, Jim Phillips’ stylist, or whoever’s in charge of updating the ACC bracket? Who ****ing cares if it’s not updated? We won! My responses (β€œshut down the program!”) are generally to point out how ridiculous you sound, also to counteract all the negativity. You’re not the only one who’s mostly negative, & the worst are the ones who post nothing about softball for weeks & then chime in after a loss. Ok. Rant over. Hope you’re doing well, pro. Go Hokies!

I didn't mind that post at all. It's the small-sample size, in-game panic

that's ridiculous. Like, we were down 2 or 3 runs vs. Liberty & we were already being swept by UNC.

Hopefully, we’re good for 2027, because the team will be top 10. & this

current team is more than comfortable on the road, so let’s ****ing go! & thanks for the clarification, Nick. Really appreciate it.

Have said it before. If there's an "all-in" switch re: player acquisition,

it should be flipped this summer. Aldridge & Castine will be missed, but so much production is coming from the junior & sophomore classes. Not sure if there's rainy-day fund for portal upgrades, but this would absolutely be the year to spend it. ** Edited by schubee at 5/9/2026, 6:37:56 PM

If they don't host, I'd feel bad for those that really want to see more

games at TSP. & I'll admit I'm not local, so it's the same experience for me either way. But really, I have far less stress about it than in years past. This team is 37-5 outside of Blacksburg, the bats have proven that they'll come through far more often than not, & the pitching has never looked better.
