the players were rookies and even after players have graduated. Also made bats about players who aren't even Hokies. Made two for grandparents to honor their granddaughters in hi school and travel ball. One granddaughter in Kansas, another in West Virginia. Made another for a birthday present for a cousin of a former player, that one is in NC. Started the project in 2023, made about 70 bats total, donated 10(?), with plans in the works right now for more. Most popular bat, made 8 of them, commemorated the triple play Lyla Blackwell, Rachel Castine & Michelle Chatfield made vs Stanford in 2025. Made 5 triple play bats for fans and 3 for Lyla's Mom for family members - those 3 are in Indiana. BTW - Some of those donated bats are not all on me. Have had plenty of great Hokies who have volunteered to help me out with the expense of some of those donated bats. And they have also helped the players max out the NIL $$ some bats provide for the players. You know Chip and have been at TSP? It's a different kind of game. Speedy outfielders can turn long fly balls into outs. Long fly balls that would hook behind a foul pole (if it was there) for a home run become measly foul balls without a fence.

with the infield - even squared off for bint again.

exciting game. Might even make more home runs - the sprinting kind but more. Balls hit in the gaps might roll for a long time and some balls that would be well over the fence might be run down for outs. Runners on first tagging up.
