Bonnie said it was the first time she had been referred to as "and Company."
They said Bre was "revered in Blacksburg," and that is certainly true.

“Fan favorite” and “revered” are probably understatements. And how about
that line drive to left on a 1-2 count. Glad to see Bre, and Cory and Kylie, finding success in the PSL. Not sure how it works, but perhaps the AUSL takes notice at some point in the future as well.
Edit: So another great thing about that clip, on the back end, I was able to watch the 2025 Michelle Chatfield and Annika Rohs ACC Access human interest piece. What a great story. Well done by the ACCN. And lo and behold, then I was able to relive the 6th and 7th inning of the 2025 Hokies vs Stanford “triple-play game.” It’s getting me fired up for fall 🥎. Haha. Thanks Chip.

the players were rookies and even after players have graduated. Also made bats about players who aren't even Hokies. Made two for grandparents to honor their granddaughters in hi school and travel ball. One granddaughter in Kansas, another in West Virginia. Made another for a birthday present for a cousin of a former player, that one is in NC. Started the project in 2023, made about 70 bats total, donated 10(?), with plans in the works right now for more. Most popular bat, made 8 of them, commemorated the triple play Lyla Blackwell, Rachel Castine & Michelle Chatfield made vs Stanford in 2025. Made 5 triple play bats for fans and 3 for Lyla's Mom for family members - those 3 are in Indiana.
BTW - Some of those donated bats are not all on me. Have had plenty of great Hokies who have volunteered to help me out with the expense of some of those donated bats. And they have also helped the players max out the NIL $$ some bats provide for the players.
You know Chip and have been at TSP? How is it we haven't met yet!

watched them on TV the entire time we were there. I was born in Tucson, and my parents moved here to Lynchburg when I was one, and I have lived most of my 63 years in Lynchburg, VA. I taught here and coached softball at both Glass and Heritage High Schools, and got an offer to teach and be the head coach of the softball team in tiny Salome, AZ. We moved in 2019 to Tucson, and I taught there for several years before retiring from teaching. My wife and I traveled to the Elon game, and also went from there to the Duke series. Additionally, we attended the Hokie Invite for a couple of days. I can't attend all the games at TSP, wish we could. My wife can't make it all the time, unfortunately she has health issues which limit her. We are contributors and participate in auctions. We just love watching the Lady Hokies Softball team. Our softball program is the most consistent athletics program we have currently, and we look forward to future success in our other sports programs.
