TCL is fine, most TVs these days are disposable for the price point

They make some higher end screens depending on the model and $. I went cheap for my outdoor TV. I just picked up a Pioneer 70" at best buy today for $280, it is made by TCL. Prime days is two days away, you may want to see what deals they offer ** Edited by kjhokie at 6/21/2026, 1:34:12 AM

My bing camera has crazy detail…

I hope it calls 911 when it identifies a murderer on the porch with a knife… Can’t image what my back cameras will say when I take a leak

Gotta love USPS and their efficiency....

My package arrived in Merrifield on 4/14, but instead of going out for delivery, it got sent to New Jersey, then came back to Merrifield before finally going out for delivery today… three days later. I’m no logistics expert, but wouldn’t it be more cost-effective to just deliver it the first time it reached Merrifield?

Bold move posting this on the baseball board…

This might be the most insightful of insightful post you have ever posted! Just having fun with that πŸ™‚ So much appreciate all your posts. It’s the most insight into the VT athletic department we receive… sounds like time are a changing and can’t wait

Yes! Just made this over the weekend…don’t crockpot…

Braise in a Dutch oven. So good and if I could post pictures here I’d prove it. A few prompts with ChatGPT is this recipe KJ, here is the final braised corned beef recipe we built together (oven braise with the beer, veggies staged, and the horseradish sauce). I cleaned it up so you can easily print or save it. βΈ» Oven-Braised Corned Beef with Potatoes, Carrots & Cabbage With Dijon–Horseradish Cream Sauce Ingredients Main β€’ 1 corned beef brisket (about 2Β½ lb, with spice packet) β€’ 1 bottle Modelo or other light beer β€’ 2 cups chicken stock β€’ 1 large onion, sliced β€’ 4 cloves garlic, smashed β€’ 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard β€’ 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar β€’ 2 bay leaves Vegetables β€’ 1 lb baby potatoes, halved β€’ 3–4 carrots, cut into chunks β€’ Β½ head green cabbage, cut into wedges Dijon Horseradish Sauce β€’ Β½ cup mayonnaise β€’ 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard β€’ 1–2 tablespoons prepared horseradish β€’ 1 teaspoon lemon juice β€’ pinch salt and pepper βΈ» Cooking Instructions 1. Preheat Oven Heat oven to 325Β°F (163Β°C). βΈ» 2. Sear the Corned Beef 1. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. 2. Place brisket fat side down first and sear 4–5 minutes until browned. 3. Flip and sear the other side 3–4 minutes. βΈ» 3. Build the Braising Liquid Add to the pot: β€’ sliced onion β€’ garlic β€’ spice packet β€’ Dijon mustard β€’ vinegar β€’ bay leaves Pour in: β€’ 1 bottle Modelo β€’ 2 cups chicken stock Liquid should come about halfway up the brisket. Cover with lid. βΈ» 4. Braise in Oven Place Dutch oven in oven and cook 2 hours. βΈ» 5. Add Potatoes and Carrots At the 2 hour mark: Add: β€’ potatoes β€’ carrots Cover and return to oven 45 minutes. βΈ» 6. Add Cabbage At about 2 hr 45 min: Add cabbage wedges on top. Cook 30 more minutes. Brisket should reach 200–205Β°F and be fork tender. βΈ» 7. Rest the Meat Remove brisket from pot and let rest 15–20 minutes before slicing. Slice against the grain. βΈ» 8. Strain the Broth (Serving Tip) Strain the braising liquid and serve it as a light au jus over the meat and vegetables. βΈ» Dijon Horseradish Sauce Mix together: β€’ mayo β€’ Dijon mustard β€’ prepared horseradish β€’ lemon juice β€’ salt and pepper Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving if possible. Great on the brisket or for dipping the vegetables. βΈ» βœ” Cooking time: about 3 hours 15 min

Salzburg is amazing...that is where I spent NYE 2001 to ring in 2002

Was able to pull euros out of atm machines starting at 2200 in 2001....paying cash for beers that night was confusing for all ** Edited by kjhokie at 3/3/2026, 8:38:07 PM

You got a shop vac?

You can buy 20-40ft hoses for cheap….buy a thinner diameter one to navigate the vent with adapter. Vacuum ring and clean vents at the same time. Winning!

I lived in Satellite Beach Florida, was home sick and watched the launch

live.... saddest moment I've ever witnessed. Such a big lead up to the launch with Christa McAuliffe on the flight.

And now bright and sunny and warm in Seattle.,.

But dang, I love watching snowy and cold NFL games.....especially on TV from my living room!

Perfect day for soup and a grilled cheese

Asked chatGPT what I could do with asparagus on a cold snowy day.... VT olive oil drizzle was key

I even use prime for my groceries now....no option to tip...same day

Delivery...this is now core amazon and not whole foods or fresh....no tipping the shoppers or drivers, it just shows up... Yesterday I went to the grocery store and realized I forgot my wallet....came home and ordered my list on amazon. Prices also pretty good

That has been narrowed down to one poster here....

unfortunately I liked the long-lost personally curated cartoons to start each day.... First rule of TSL, don't talk about Photo posting photos

What kinda of driving do you do? I love my 2025 Mach E for around town...

Ford installed free level 2 charger, so cheap to charge at home. The torque makes it fast off the line and extra fun.....it's just so comfortable and fun to drive I also really like my Tundra 2025 Limited...not so much for around town, but cruising and having the room. So I recommend an electric vehicle and a truck!

I'm curious, just 4 falafel balls? That's the dish?

Actually, it might be good with a bunch of beer to wash it down

The Lounge 9 mo ago

Hells yeah! Now you are talking!

Not sure I can get those in time to hand out on Friday! Thanks!

The Lounge 9 mo ago

Those aren't the real real ones from back in the day....

The real ones were gum in a tube wrapper, you could blow out of them for a fake puff of smoke.... The ones you linked are just sh*tty candy....I know because i bought them.....still handing them out this year for Halloween though...

The Lounge 9 mo ago

How about dark maroon powder coat....

That might look good, if not black spray paint to solve problem...
